NEW BABY ALERT!
TORONTO ZOO WELCOMES BIRTH OF TWO LYNX KITTENS

The Toronto Zoo would like to announce that Ember, a seven year old female Canada lynx, gave birth to two kittens in the Canada Lynx Habitat.

It is suspected Ember gave birth to the kittens on Saturday, April 30, 2016. The kittens are so small at birth that keepers weren't even able to confirm there were two kittens until Sunday, May 8, 2016. Ember started showing signs of late pregnancy towards the end of April, by beginning to nest on exhibit and Wildlife Care monitored her closely. While both kittens appear healthy and feeding well, the first thirty days will be critical for both kittens. Staff will continue to closely monitor Ember and her kittens during this time.
Ember and her kittens are currently on exhibit in the Canada Lynx Habitat in the Canadian Domain area of the Zoo.
Stop by the Canadian Domain to try and catch a glimpse of the kittens this weekend! However, please note, mom and kittens may be difficult to see.

BEAT THE HEAT THIS WEEKEND!
Cool off at Splash Island, the perfect destination for a hot summer day! With two acres of hands-on, non-stop family fun amidst waterslides, water-spouting animals, waterfalls, and tipping buckets, our splash pad is the best way to beat the summer heat. The kids will enjoy the cool mist as they explore and learn about which plants and animals live in different bodies of water in Canada. Splash Island is a great way to relax, cool down, and have fun with the kids!
