Partnership just another step toward becoming premier biking destination in Ontario

RIDE GUIDES AND HORSESHOE RESORT TEAM UP
TO OFFER CYCLING ADVENTURES IN ONTARIO

HORSESHOE VALLEY, ON, June 16, 2014 – Horseshoe, a Skyline Resort, and Ride Guides, Ontario’s premier provider of cycling adventures, have teamed up to offer mountain biking experiences and guided tours of the resort and Copeland Forest in both summer and winter.

Novice riders can book introductory rides to learn the ropes of cross country and downhill mountain biking, while seasoned riders can spend the day on flowing single track or challenge their riding ability on technical climbs and rocky descents, grab some gravity or learn how to traverse 24″ logs. This trail system has it all and Ride Guides knows just where to find it.

“Horseshoe has quickly become the premier biking destination in Ontario,” says Jonathan Reid, Director of Partnerships and Events at Horseshoe Resort.
“While most biking destinations only offer downhill or cross-country, Horseshoe offers the best of both worlds on our vast and connecting trails through the Horseshoe Valley. With Ride Guides, we’re making biking even more accessible for riders, no matter your level of experience.”

The Introduction to Cross Country ($60 pp) and Introduction to Downhill ($99 pp) experiences both last two hours and give riders the technical skills necessary to navigate varying terrain – whether it’s leisurely enjoying the beauty of the Copeland Forest or learning to let gravity do the work on the hills. Packages include a Norco bike and helmet rental.

Guided rides through the Copeland Forest are available in three and five-hour increments for more experienced riders (from $70 pp).

“We create memorable mountain biking experiences and offer more than just expert guiding for our customers,” says Matthew Trotter, co-founder of Ride Guides. “Through our skills camps, we help give riders the ability and confidence to advance their riding experience. Our goal is to provide an exceptional experience and to allow our greatest passion to become yours as well.”

Horseshoe’s lift-access mountain Bike Park has more features than ever with 20 km of Ontario Cup certified cross-country trails, 400 hectares of single track bike trails through the Copeland Forest, and a new pump track and skills course perfect for getting revved up. Visit the all new Bike Barn to rent bikes and equipment or get a repair.
