New interactive horror camping experience launches at Bingemans this summer

(News Release)

KITCHENER, Ont. - Calling all horror fans - the zombie apocalypse is coming!

On June 6 & 7, Bingemans in Kitchener, Ont. is holding the inaugural 13 Hours In Hell, a haunted overnight camping experience at the amusement park’s camp grounds.

“After 10 years of expanding the Screampark haunted festival in Waterloo Region, and as we enter our third year of the wildly successful Running Dead zombie obstacle race, we’re excited to present our newest chapter in horror productions,” said Mark Bingeman, President of Bingemans.

The full 13 hour event in the dark secluded woods at Bingemans will task participants with competing in challenges and maintaining their camp while trying to survive the hordes of zombies lurking in the dark.

Our scream team has gone over the top in creating this unique overnight experience with several horrifying events planned to take place throughout the campout,” said Bingeman. “This interactive event is like nothing that you’ve ever experienced before but the entire concept has been designed with fun in mind.”

Interested but worried that you might not be able to make it through the night? Bingemans has created safe zones within its 175-acre grounds for participants who feel the need to chicken out.

Registration for the event includes dinner and breakfast for all participants, choice of staying in a tent, tented group bunkhouse or the upgraded “coffin” accommodation.

Registration open.
