Wienerfest Home County Festival to attract 700 dachshunds to Embro

(News Release)

Woodstock, ON – Wienerfest will be happening Saturday, June 22nd at Embro Community Centre from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. This festival is for the dogs (Dachshunds) and well behaved owners too.

“Many of the organizers are involved in pet rescue and finding homes for dogs that have ended up homeless.” comments Linda Collier, organizer.

“Wienerfest is a fun event to celebrate the breed that we all love. But it's also an event to promote responsible dog ownership and to build people's awareness of pet rescue. All the proceeds from Wienerfest go towards this cause.”

Over 700 dachshunds will be coming to the Embro Community Centre. This event is not just for the dachshund lover, but for any dog lover.

There are lots of fun things to see and do. With over 100 vendors you can buy everything for your pet. There will also be over 35 artisans and local artists displaying their talents for those who want to see more than dogs.

Enjoy watching the fun games for the dachshunds like the Yogurt Licking Contest, the Hunt Is ON and Costume Contest, BOBBING FOR WIENERS, and the FAMOUS WIENER RACES and so much more… Enjoy a fun day with your dog!

This event is free and no charge for parking but donations will be gladly accepted at the gate for the dog rescue.
