March Break at the Toronto Zoo means fun

When making plans this March Break don't forget to visit the world famous Toronto Zoo!! 
You are sure to have a WILD time with some animal friends including our magnificent polar bears,
 African white lions, Western lowland gorillas, Arctic wolves and more. Looking for some warmth?
 Stop by one of our five tropical pavilions, bursting with animals, plants and sea life. Grab a hot 
chocolate and take in one of our educational and fun daily Keeper Talks and drop by and chat with
 some of our knowledgeable Volunteers stationed throughout the Zoo.


To help celebrate March Break the Zoo is offering our visitors a daily promotional offer (click here 
for details) plus the Zoo will have extended hours from 9:30am to 6:00pm (last admission 5:00pm).Help Celebrate International Polar Bear Day!
In celebration of International Polar Bear Day, taking place today Wednesday, February 27, the 
Toronto Zoo is inviting you to "Bundle Up For Polar Bears" by putting on your favourite sweater, 
hoodie, or jacket and turning down your thermostat by two degrees between Monday, February 25
 and Friday, March 1.
You'll 'bare-ly' notice the cooler temperature!

Earth Hour 2013
Climate change is the simple biggest treat facing polar bears. By reducing our carbon emissions to protect the sea ice polar bears depend on for survival. Toronto Zoo will be turning off all non-essential lights to support polar bear conservation!

In celebration of International Polar Bear Day, bundle up 
this weekend and visit our wonderful Polar bears in the 
Tundra Trek!  Polar bears are considered the largest land
 carnivores in the world! Did you know the surface of their 
skin is actually black! COOL!
