27th annual Wood Show set for Woodstock

Tourism Oxford

MEDIA RELEASE

Woodstock, ON – Exhibit of wooden crafts, handcrafted furniture, woodworking machinery, tools, demonstrations, seminars & more. Home of Upper Canada Woodworking Championship! The Wood Show runs from September 28th thru 30th, 10am – 6pm each day.

“This year the Woodstock Agricultural Society is pleased to continue the tradition started by Joe and Sharon Daniel. We'll have great outdoor displays as always, plus indoors, in the Oxford Auditorium, we are excited to welcome our new major exhibitor Home Depot!" said Craig Fox, one of the show's organizers.

“We're also pleased to announce that the admission price has been lowered to $10 for adults. As always $25 3-day passes will be available and children under 12 are always welcome to attend for free when accompanied by an adult”.

This event draws over 15,000 people throughout the weekend every year. As the Woodstock Wood Show evolves, one thing that will stay the same is that the buildings and tents will continue to be full of vendors selling products that are in some way related to the wood industry. This year the Wood Show is featuring machinery, tools, finishes, rough lumber and crafts. Be sure to see the woodworking and woodcarving competition pieces that will be on display.

Directions: From Hwy 401 take Hwy #59 North (exit 232). Follow #59/Norwich Ave to Dundas Street. Turn Right on Dundas to West/Teeple Street (light at top of the hill near Food Basics). Turn Left on West St. Watch for signs to indicate parking areas available.
