It's all happening at the Toronto Zoo this week

What's new at the Zoo...

Weekly feature
White lion cubs, penguin chicks and piglets...oh my!
The Toronto Zoo's Cutest Naming Contest has officially launched! The general public will be able
to vote on the top three names listed (submitted by Toronto Zoo Staff and Volunteers) for each of the
following animals - white lion cubs, African penguin chicks and babirusa piglet - on torontozoo.com. 
The last day to submit votes is Tuesday, July 31st.  
Book your cameras now: The winning names will be announced on Thursday, August 2nd
at 10:30 am at a media event taking place at the White Lion Exhibit.

National Zoo Keeper WeekThe event will offer rare insight into the unique roles zoo keepers play within your zoo. Come on out and hear special meet the keeper talks, focusing on those animals that fascinate the keepers!

Akan Youth Duo Drummers will be performing authentic African drumming and dancing in the African Savanna Trail at       1:00 pm & 3:00 pm.

A True Canadian baby!
Ashley and Elliot are just bursting with Canadian pride! On May 7th, 2012, they became parents to a baby girl. The calf is tall, adorably gawky and has long gangly legs. Come and visit the magnificent parents and their cute calf in the Canadian Domain.
